It’s time to start a conversation and break down the stigma around mental health in surgery. We all have a role to play in supporting each other, and ourselves, and making sure that our wellbeing and the wellbeing of our colleagues is at the forefront of what we do.
We’re asking you to make a pledge and play your part. A pledge to support mental health and to get us to the moon and back.
When you pledge to run, cycle, or swim you are joining our community of surgeons who are taking a stand for mental health. Exercise itself has a key role to play in positive mental health, so lead by example and join us on our journey.
Every pledge gets us that much closer to the moon and helps us raise awareness of mental health as a top priority for the surgical and healthcare profession.
Keep up to date on our progress to the moon and back via our social media and make sure to share your pledge with friends, family, and colleagues. Tell us about your journey, we would love to hear from you.
I commit that during my pledge of exercise, I will check in with my friend and ask how they are doing, and if I am completing my pledge alone, I will make sure to take the time to reflect on how I am feeling.
